Hatha Yoga Teacher’s Retreat
Saturday, October 18
10:00 AM - 4:30 PM
That wonderful time of year: The IHTTA Retreat! A time to expand our knowledge
and explanations of hatha yoga, a time to see old friends, a time to catch up on
our spiritual growth.
This day is very special. In the morning, 10:00 - 11:30, we will work on a
review of the postures in our curriculum. Bring a list of those asanas
with which you have difficulty (or even better, send an email to the office
before time) and we will tackle them. Questions follow.
We will then share lunch, so bring a dish to share with others. If you can,
phone Nandini and let her know what you are bringing. We’ll have a buffet from
12:00 - 12:45.
In the afternoon, we have a special guest speaker, Katyayani, who comes from
Boulder, Colorado. Katyayani studied for several years in India and will help us
with the precise pronunciation of the Sanskrit names of the postures. She’ll
also introduce the ancient art of Vedic chanting and its contribution to all the
sacred traditions of yoga.
For those who wish the new hatha lesson plans, copyright 2008, for Beginning I
and II and/or Intermediate I and II, bring your old lesson plans and we will
exchange the old for the new.
IHTTA members only. No charge.
