Pure, healthful, vegetarian cooking is a tradition among the Himalayan yogis.
Since our spiritual life includes body as well as mind and spirit, what we eat
and how we cook it is essential for our spiritual growth.
In this beginning course, Ma Devi will discuss the philosophy of preparing food
for loved ones as well as the psychology of cooking in this tradition. Then we
will begin to work!
You will learn the basics of subzi (cooked vegetables), rice, dahl
(lentils), ghee (clarified butter), and paneer (homemade cheese).
You will share in the preparation of each of the dishes and then share the meal
with your fellow cooks.
The class is limited to eight students who must pre-register and prepay. Sign up
